Foram-se os amores que tive
ou me tiveram: partiram
num cortejo silencioso e iluminado.
O tempo me ensinou
a não acreditar demais na morte
nem desistir da vida: cultivo
alegrias num jardim
onde estamos eu, os sonhos idos,
os velhos amores e seus segredos.
E a esperança que rebrilha
como pedrinhas de cor entre as raízes...

TO THE ONE

To the one who understood her task and her purpose.
To the one who looked at the road ahead, and understood that it was a difficult journey.

To the one who did not make light of those difficulties,
but, on the contrary, made them manifest and visible.

To the one who makes the lonely feel they are not alone,
who satisfies those who hunger and thirst for justice, who makes the oppressor feel as bad as the oppressed.

To the one who always keeps her door open,
her ears listening, her hands working, her feet walking.

To the one who embodies the verses of another Persian poet,
Hafez, when he says: Not even seven thousand years of joy are worth seven days of sadness.

To the one who is here tonight, may she be one with all of us,
may her example multiply, may she still have difficult days ahead,
so that she can do whatever she needs to do,
so that the next generations will not have to strive
for what has already been accomplished.

And may she walk slowly,
because her peace is the peace of change,
and chage, real change, always takes time.

A FELICIDADE

Não existe um caminho para a felicidade.
A felicidade é o caminho!
Assim, aproveite todos os momentos que você tem.
Aproveite-os mais se você tem alguém especial para compartilhar, especial o suficiente para passar seu tempo....
e lembre-se que o tempo não espera ninguém.
Portanto, pare de esperar...
... até que você termine ou volte para a faculdade;
... até que você perca ou ganhe 5 quilos;
... até que você tenha tido filhos ou até que eles tenham saído de casa;
... até sexta à noite ou até segunda de manhã;
... até que você tenha comprado uma casa nova ou até que ela tenha sido paga;
... até o próximo verão, primavera, outono, inverno;
... até que você morra
... até que nasça de novo
... não há hora melhor para ser feliz...
...do que AGORA MESMO !
A Felicidade é uma viagem, não um destino.
Por isso...
"Trabalhe como se você não precisasse de dinheiro;
Ame como se nunca tivesse se machucado
e dance como se ninguém estivesse te olhando!!!"

Mônica, a FELICIDADE está em suas mãos, saiba aproveita-la!!!!
